Pre-B Disconnect on CZ 85 Combat

I just joined the bandwagon. Bought and installed a Pre-B Disconnect on a CZ 85 Combat. I have one issue though: Hammer will not drop on SA when the slide is racked. DA is not an issue. It was suppose to be drop-in. Only current mods were 11 lb mainspring, 13 lb recoil spring and extended firing pin. Sear and hammer were all untouched.

Am I missing something here?
 
Did you try adjusting the overtravel screw in the trigger to allow it to swing back more?
 
What is this upgrade about?

I traded my Pre-B 75 for an 85 Combat (wanted low profile adjustable sights) and have since felt that the trigger on the 85 wasn't quite as nice as the 75 was.

Where can one obtain a Pre-B disconnect?

I did this upgrade to my 75 Shadowline and 85 Combat with a competition hammer installed. Dropped in and worked without issue. Tried to upgrade my SP01 Shadow and had the same problem you are having. I couldn't figure it out and didn't try actually so I just returned it to stock configuration. It must have something to do with the hammer cuts. This issue was brought up months ago with some suggestions but I can't remember what they were. Try doing a search.
 
If the trigger is reseting, which you post makes it sound like it is, then cutting the back side of the disco won't do anything. It's your sear and trigger bow engagement that is the issue. The sear isn't being moved enough. If it's not reseting in SA than cutting the back ofo the disco should work.

I went through an odyssey to improve the trigger on my 85 Combat. I eventually made it SAO with a Dlask trigger, removed the disconnect entirely, and stoned down the hammer hooks.... Actually in the reverse of that order, lol (don't do that)
 
Had the same issue dropping a pre-B into my Shadow. Took a chance and installed the competition hammer and this cured the problem - fabulously short reset now. The sear tolerances are really tight to get that short reset. I wouldn't remove any metal unless you really know what you are doing and have the appropriate jigs.
 
No, is the trigger resetting? That's the key. Pull the trigger, hold the trigger, rack the slide, release the trigger. Does it go click and reset or does it stay off the disco?
 
No click, but hammer is engaged, pull the trigger, nothing happens. But when I insert a small flat screwdriver between the sear and hammer, lift a bit, clicks, pull the trigger, hammer will drop.

Just came back from a long road trip. Sorry, still no video. But I had a chance to study the geometry and movement of the original disconnect compared to the supposedly pre-B disconnect during one of my breaks. I was satisfied with the suggestions and recommendations by current users to cut into the inside face of the disconnect, about 0.5mm. Bingo! Reset is now short and crisp. As good as my SP01 Shadowline. The use of a competition hammer will eliminate cutting since the sear engagement geometry of the comp hammer is slightly different compared to the stock hammer.
 
1st range trip. Satisfying. Reset is definitely a little shorter than my SP01 Shadowline. The only difference between these pistols is the more refined trigger pull of the SP01 Shadowline. I might replace the disconnect of my Shadowline very soon. Worth it? Definitely!
