Non-Restricted ACR DMR update

Lots of you fine folks have been waiting patiently for Bushmaster to produce the long promised non-restricted
ACR DMR rifle.

We had been promised this rifle quite a while back and we even took deposits on them.

Here is that we received from Gravel the official Bushmaster importer for Canada.

"
We have just receivedofficial notification that the Bushmaster ACR DMR, as a complete firearm or asa factory 18.5” barrel conversion kit, will not be produced in 2015.

Due to the move of the Bushmaster production and R&D to their new facilityin Alabama, they are simply unable to commit the required resources to finishthe project at this time. They anticipate that the move will only affect2015 deliveries and they plan to be settled into their new facility to kick off2016.

We greatly appreciate the support, patience and commitment from all of you whohave continued to stay the course with us during this time, however based onthis new information we have taken the decision to cancel all outstanding backorders for ACR DMR’s.

We do intend to pursue this project further, but until such time as we havefinal production models in hand and ready to ship to our valued customers wewill no longer be accepting nor pursuing bookings for this model.

We offer our sincere apologies in this matter. Rest assured that we here atGravel Agency will always strive to provide you with the most up to date, andhonest information in order to serve our customers as effectively as possible andwe will continue to provide you all with the highest quality products on themarket today."

In light of this new information we regret to inform youthat we will be cancelling all orders for the Bushmaster ACR DMRrifle. All deposits will be refunded in full, Please contact uswith your preferred method of refund (Refunded back to Original CreditCard/Cheque/Credit on file for future purchase).
We are monitoring the situation, as soon as we have anupdate on when they will be available to order we will announce it on CGN andFacebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience, iIf you have anyquestions please feel free to contact us.

So if there still coming why cancel peoples order? We have waited this long what's another 12 months.

The Canadian importer, Gravel has canceled all their dealer orders. All dealers, including ourselves will have to re-order when Gravel are ready to accept our order. For us to accept a customer order at this time would be pure speculation, we have no confirmed cost or ETA from Gravel. As soon as Gravel pass on confirmation that they are accepting back orders we will place a large order with them and then look at taking deposits from customers. We feel this is the fairest, cleanest way to operate.

Hahahaha....3rd quarter Of 2014,wasn't it ? How can these excuses and apologies be acceptable. Why even promote or mention it to customers and fail to deliver, this is why the firearm industry sucks in Canada what a joke......

We are all at the mercy of the manufacture, be we in the US or Canada. We never know if a manufacture will fail to deliver in the future, often there are outside factors that we are unaware of. Sadly because the total Canadian market is less than 10% of the US market we don't take any priority.

It is not a case of making excuses or apologising, much more we take pride in keeping our customers informed of developments so they can make good decisions for themselves.

Well let's see how it works. Gun Maker says to the importer, "hey we can do these for you would you like them".
Importer says sure. Gun Maker says here is the time frame to get them to you.
Importer contacts the dealers and takes orders. Dealers let customers know and take orders.
Meanwhile Gun Maker (an American company) says whoops, we can't make them in quite that time frame.
Importer has to inform dealers who inform customers.
This keeps going on as Gun Maker is busy filling larger contracts.
This continues on until the Gun Maker either says they can't provide or they finally do provide the product.

I fail to see how this is the fault of the Canadian Firearms Industry. Would see to me to be a problem with the
ability to follow through on promises from the manufacturers. It is not the importers or the dealers fault that these products have not been
able to be provided, it is purely and simply the manufacturer.

Canadian importers and dealers have and continue to work hard to bring us, the Canadian shooting public options and firearms we wouldn't normally have had.

Instead of hyping the product up before you even get it why even mention it at all, I get the supply and demand thing. The previous comment wasn't directed towards anyone's buisness just a statement in general so don't take it personal.

When you post on my page, Wolverine Supplies pays for this page it is personal.

As for your question why mention it at all, we have no choice, we operate in a very competitive market, past experience has shown that we will loose sales if we don't take deposits.

bushmaster screws up , nobody's fault except bushmaster.

i'm pretty sure wolverine is mad a this (as of everyone in the pre-order). Do not forget , they make a living selling them.

It was a ####ty comment and you know it. You need to go wrestle a wolverine to make amends for wasting bandwidth.

You also have to remember that Bushmaster moved from New York to Alabama because of New York's anti-gun agenda. Bushmaster having to push the production date is no surprise whatsoever. This item will come to market, it's just going to take some time. Patience people, patience!

bushmasters loss Canadian business and customers will look to fill the void with other products and bushmaster will sell every last one of the acr they build. if Canadian s dont want them americans will buy em

They aren't being produced period so not sure what that statement means? I'm pretty sure these will get made at some point as the ACR PRS stocks from the DMR are definitely out in the wild.

And to my understanding the Americans are pissed about the ACR. From the weight, only two gas settings and them not making the caliber conversions when it's a "Adaptive Combat Rifle". And then there's the price point.
