Browning Citori Recoil Pad Installation

I am confused, the Citori in the pic has screw in extended tubes but you said you had the chokes opened. Am I missing something? Very nice stock work by the way. Re read all the posts two different guns my bad.

The gun I had the chokes opened on is not pictured... it is a third Grade 2 Field Citori... I will post pics next week when the barrels arrive from Al's Corner Store.

Yep my mistake. I get easily confused. I have two Ithaca 37's I want to have pads put on, is your stock maker over kill for this project? They are just hunting guns.

Darryl, Vic's prices are very reasonable... his turn around time was three days... and his work is excellent... you can email him at; vgt@cogeco.ca

Man...HC.....they look great !
I love the Brownings....I have an older sporting 425 for myself, and I picked up an almost mint 625 sporting 20 ga for my 17 yr old daughter last year...she absolutely loooooves shooting it !

Did he refinish the back stocks on both of them too ??
Looks like the rear stocks got more of a gloss finish on them compared to the fore ends....or perhaps..... is that just the angle the pictures were taken from ?.....either way.....NIIIIICE !!

That is just the original factory finish... the flatter surface on the buttstocks caught more of the flash.

I am happy with the work... I get a couple more clays a round now with the Lightning 20, with no other changes... 23/24 feels better than 21/22.

The Grade 2 patterns very nicely with 3" BB'S and #3's;

Follow-up; Steve Milton is $250 to thread the barrels, Plus $90/each for thin wall chokes... he can't take new work until 2016 and probably not until March. Brady Mills at Al's Corner Store is $225 to thread to the Tru-Choke system and $25/each for chokes... my Citori is on it's way to him as I write this.

Hey hoyt, are the prices you mention ($250/$225) based on the 2 barrels of the O/U? if so, can one assume its roughly half of that if its a single barrel being threaded?

I expect that would be the case... but as I ended up just reaming the chokes open and not threading, I couldn't say for sure... it was $100 plus shipping to open both barrels.

Excuse me if I missed it in one of your posts. What was the actual bore dimension of the barrels you had opened up ?
