Hi,

could you please help me value 2 shotguns i have to sell to fund another purchase?

1- Beretta A-Mod-300 semi auto, in good condition, show use

2- Ithaca model 300 semi auto with 2 barrels

other barrel

The Beretta is a gem. Probably the best auto loader Beretta has ever made. This includes the 302 and 303 models. Being a magnum that's a plus the fixed FULL is not a plus. Still I would value the Beretta at 575.00 The Ithaca is a recoil operated Japan built model. It is a work horse. The two barrels are a plus but both are FULL not a plus. I would value it with both barrels at 350.00 You could sell one of the barrels separate if you are lucky enough to find a 300 or 900 owner who needs one. NOTE: the FULL choke issues can be solved by reaming or installing thin wall choke tubes. That work will eat up the value of the gun pretty quick and not really increase the values I have quoted. Having said that those are cool guns thanks for sharing.

regards, Darryl

I had a Beretta 302 myself, and it didn't cycle target loads reliably, which to me reduces the value. Add in the fixed full choke, and the condition, and I would not pay more than $400 at most, and I would feel more comfortable at $350. I would value the Ithaca at about $350.

are local dealer has a three inch mag 3oo and it is in great shape for 450$ and he cannot sell it at that price ..every one wants screw in chokes ,and a three inch gun is not good for trap and skeet so that brings the price down ,still for some one that wants a good gun for turkeys and buck shot it would be okay ,,,Dutch

The Beretta 300 in 3" will not cycle target loads. But it was not built for that. My 302 handles 1 1/8 oz target loads well but it is 2 3/4" chambered. These are hunting guns. I do agree today's shooters want a semi that will handle 2 1/2" English loads right up to 3 1/2" magnums without issues or adjustment. That always hurts the value of otherwise great guns.

I have a older beretta a-300 chambered in 12 GA 2 3/4, the magazine holds only 2 shells but you can load one in the chamber and ghost load another one. I got it at a gun show a few months back for $425.

Nice nice wood on the Beretta.

Why does the Ithaca have two similar barrels, just for the rib? It's possible that one has been reamed or threaded for chokes, which would increase the utility of the package. Otherwise try to sell the ribbed barrel separately and make a few more bucks.
