Get a roll of shipping paper. I just COMPLETELY cover my target from top to bottom, so there are NO PREVIOUS HOLES from other shooters visible. (all under the Kraft paper) Then when you shoot, any hole you see on that target will be from your gun. Work from there.
Thanks, Sarge. That's the way to do it!
It's no fun at all trying to hit a regular 100yd target with a new semi-auto--you have no idea where your bullets are going, and you end up wasting a lot of ammo.
I picked up a pad of large graph paper (24"x36") at 'Staples'. The squares are 1"x1" which makes sighting in pretty easy.
The trick is finding a sheet of cardboard that large. It's always worked to at least get me "on paper" at 25-50yd. with my first round.
Just remember to have a POA 'goal', even if it's just an "X" drawn in the centre of the paper with a marker pen.

Granted it's been a bit since I put mine together, but I don't see the issue? Pop the stock off, pull out the innards and you can look down the bore. Your scope doesn't need the stock on. Put the barreled action in an adjustable varmint rest, or use some bags. Hang a target at 25 yards. Line up your bore for the centre by looking through it and making sure it's stable and in place. Then adjust your scope accordingly. I do this with a number of rifles. You don't need the whole rifle to bore sight it. As long as the barrel is attached to the upper receiver part that has the scope secured to it you can bore sight.

Come back Shane!
