I've been looking for an angled fore grip for my CX4 and was going to order the MagPul AFG2, but like everything in Canada, its a bit pricey. I wasn't even sure if I was going to like it so I decided to just print one out and see how it feels.

I still need to find a couple bolts for it, and if I like the feel I will clean up the print a bit more, sand off the shinyness (I dont think thats a word).

Edit: here's the print in action, for those that haven't seen a 3d print in progress

That's so cool , how durable is something like that ?

It should be okay on a 9mm. I printed a 2 piece foregrip for a friend. He tried it on a bubba'd sks and it blew apart pretty fast. Being as it's built in layers there are lots of weak spots. I used a pretty high end 3d printer as well. No Makerbot.

it always depend of the plastic you use , the direction you print it and the temp , i found that using abs and a little shot of acetone was doing the trick a lot of time

Still using painters tape huh? I just recently switched to hair spray. Man, works like a champ. When the glass cools off the printed object just pops right off, lil bit of respray and its good to go again!

I found raising the extruder temp to 260c made my layers much more resistant to delimitation.
