With my two boys (13 and 16) and my father along with a group of 6 others....My youngest has yet to harvest a big game animal so this will be great opportunity for him and even though he has a badly broken leg currently along with a torn ACL he cannot wait to go...Fortunately for him limited mobility is not that much of a problem for Wyoming antelope...

I will be using a 257 WBY with 110 gr Nosler accubonds, my oldest will shoot 308 with 150 grain Federal blue box and my youngest has a 243 shooting 85 grain Nosler Partition.

Very cool.

Bought my father a Wyoming Antelope hunt this year with Rough Country Outfitters for his 70th birthday.
He leaves Oct 10th. He's pretty excited.
He'll be shooting his old Sako 270 he's had forever.

Good luck to you all.

You just hunting speed goats or are you doing a mule deer hunt as well?

Been to Gillette a couple times, been to the "locker plant" as they call it as well....they do a nice job (expensive though)

Once was with Randy Greer (I don't think he is in the business any more) and once at the Floyd Ranch

Should be fun, good luck.

I have been there also and it is a blast. We all tagged out on a buck and a doe no problem. Don't kid yourself though, they have insane vision and aren't stupid. What I found worked best was to leave a guy out in sight as a living decoy and another sneak in from behind to shoot.

No plans for mule deer at this point. I have seen some good bucks at McBeth Ranch on previous trips but he does not seem to allow deer hunting there....That butcher plant in Gillette is indeed a site to see lol...

Are there OTC tags available now? I haven't hunted Wy for a few years but to my recollection, the draw deadline was in spring. Some areas had leftover tags, but they were usually in places no one wants to hunt.

There were leftovers. We bought them online however as we did not want to risk getting there and not having them available. Not sure what is currently left though.

i am looking forward to hunt in Wyoming this year. Managed to pick some leftover tags for antelope and mule deer. area 22, kaycee. i will be hunting public lands last week of october, hope it works out.
