IMHO the MOS was a "swing and a bunt".

They should have offered a version with tall ("suppressor") sights and a "melted" slide cut for the RMR sight.

That would permit co-witnessed iron sights.

I'm doing just that to a G17. Assuming I like the setup I will also do it to a G20.

I'll be using the RM07 red Dot sight.

Yup, my old fn45 tac had the cut slide and co witnessed suppressor sights with the rm07.
Best pistol I've owned, but available in .45 only unfortunately.
Can't figure out why nobody can make something similar in 9mm, it'd sell like hot cakes.
I was originally very excited about the mos, but it turned out to be just another half hearted attempt like the m&p core series.

Damn, first range session and screws stripping? That's gotta suck. Is this one of the reasons why race guns have their optics mounted to the frame and not slide other than quicker target acquisition?

No, the rmr must be mounted lower, hence the slide cut comments above.

There are aftermarket Glock slides setup with the "good" cuts.

Suarez Int'l does them, for example. Alas, they aren't registered w/US State Dept for ITAR exports.

Dlask Arms in Canada will perform the needed machining work on existing Glock slides.

Update! I'm not sure if I made the mistake or glock or the previous owner of my RMR for not supplying the correct screws, but I found that the thread size needed to mount the optic to the slide is 6-32 x 3/8. Couldn't find the right length in stainless but I'll swap them out when I get s chance. These are larger than the screws supplied, but thread in perfectly. A little lock tite on the tips and I'm pretty certain this problem is solved.

I have a Trijicon Tritium rifle sight. Like the Op's Aimpoint, it is useless in low or no light. I can't explain it, neither could my LGS. Originally they thought it was a factory fault with mine but then they checked the ones in inventory and all of them don't light up in the dark. You can see the dot in daylight but it disappears in the dark. I thought maybe if you condition your eyes to the dark, the dot would reappear, it eventually does but is very faint. It's a crappy sight for transitioning between light and dark.
The sight no longer sits on my rifle.

That's strange, I just went into a black room with mine and its still quite visible, although not much use when you can't see what you're pointing at! If you had a light attached to the gun, it would render the dot useless.

Which one are you using? Accupoint scope or acog?

Yeah I was apprehensive about it at first too. Asked in the shop regarding it too. Putting anything directly on the slide is opening up an obvious amount of abuse. Maybe the slide mounting is the new best thing? I'll update this every few hundred rounds to see how it's holding up.

Cool. I was going to mount a mini RDS on an extra Sig 226 slide I had kicking around. It would interesting to see how these hold up to the beating.

That's a nice a set up, I love my fnx tactical set up similar to ntm's except in fde. After seeing this thread I think I'll go ahead with a g34 MOS.

I've heard these are good as long as you don't your Glock into a mud puddle! My buddies have it on their Glocks and you can definitely feel a difference from stock.

Just install a 3.5# connector in the trigger mechanism housing block. Just order one from Glockparts or Rockyourglock. They both ship to Canada.

Double stack .45, but surprisingly ergonomic. Feels like a serious blaster in your hands, certainly not a concealed carry piece.
If they made it in 9mm, this thread would have been over as soon as it started.

I don't have much to compare the trigger to aside from my previous Sig p226 elite, and I actually hate the glock trigger in comparison. Just feels .. squishy and cheap. Definitely going to be shopping around for an upgrade. It works perfectly, but I don't like the way it feels. The long barrel is nice and I was pegging 8" steel no problemo at 100 feet today.
