Where to find cheapest/in stock varget?

I've been paying $39.99 for a little while now. I don't buy it by the 8lbs keg though (may start as I'm moving more loads to Varget). I've seen 8lbs kegs from $269.99 to $399.99 depending where you look.

there was a commercial reloading outfit in abbotsford selling their surplus yesterday at 40.oo a pound, not sure how much they had but I got dibs on 20 pounds

Took me the longest time to find Varget, so used IMR4064. Once I found and tried Varget, it was great but I found no difference between it and the 4064, so have just been using 4064 since it's much cheaper.

I haven't been able to find any varget for cheaper than 46.99 locally. Any suggestions on where to look?

These days if you are shopping for reloading components you don't ask who has the best price you ask who has any for sale, then pay the man what he wants.

Just switch then. I committed to 4064 for my 308 and 223 when varget was scarce. I grabbed 13lbs of 4064 and have since added some varget. I am really happy with 4064 and 4895 for my 308
Yup ....... stock up when you can. I have almost 20lbs Varget stashed and just traded 2 lbs for other powder on the weekend.

NOTE: One of those 8 pounders has almost 10 lbs in it.

Jo Brooks in Brandon, MB has it for about $45, I bought a pound an couple pounds of pistol powder, and I'm debating going back for two or three more pounds.
