Hey guys,

iv been looking for a detailed map of exactly where crown land starts and ends, but cant find one that pinpoints exactly where it starts. there's a few plots of land that i am curious about and it would also be a good resource when traveling. i mostly want to know so i can find the closest crown land to my house for target practice.

can anyone help me out?

thanks

Landowner maps are available from each county, and are often available online. Check out nearby counties, and then check their website, good luck

When you find one let me know......all the govt sites suck to navigate. Best bet is to call your local fish and wildlife office and ask

Go to the county website and look it up. Took me 2 mins. There is no single spot were all the county land use maps reside. You have to go to the county website. Fish and wildlife will have little interest or knowledge as it is a country issue since landuse is a country responsiblity.

I've been using IHunter AB on my IPad last 2 years to keep track of seasons and WMU borders overlaid on satellite imagery. works really well. they have added to ability to purchase detailed digital land owner maps for a handful of counties this year as well. The app is a few dollars well spent IMHO.

I use the same app on my iPad all the time and highly recommend it

Have you tried Map Town (located downtown) for county maps yet? I'm not completely sure, but I thought I saw some last time I was in there a few years ago.

Agreed. The ihunter pro is a kick ass app. Used it in the mountains where no cell service exists. With the pro edition it gives crown land lease holders contact info.

Also this one which gives you the land owners and the names of the people who hold the grazing leases... it is a ##### to navigate though. Be sure to set up the correct layers and to remove the ones you don't need. I use it for looking at wmu's.

select the hyperlink for "Recreational Access to Agricultural Public Land Contact and Access Condition Information"
once it opens, you can then select the filters you want. Again, be patient with the interface.
