What caliber is the rifle? A 300 Win mag brake (not break) is different than one intended for a lesser 30 cal.

The only time I used a brake was on an Accuracy International in 308 Win. It made the gun very soft. My wife loved it.

But it caused problems because brakes are not allowed in Target Rifle matches, because the blast disrupts others.

I haver bought some 30 cal brakes for some projects at ww w.custommuzzlebrakes.com

In calibers that don't have a lot of kick, the ability to stay on target is far more important than recoil reduction. This is what aids you in being able to spot your own shots.

I looked for quite awhile to find a JP recoil eliminator and never was successful in locating one. My Holland is by far the most efficient brake I have experienced.

Part of it also depends on the volume of gas being put out.

Had he also done that test with the 300 Norma, I suspect some of the other brakes would have performed better. My Kirby Allen Painkiller was absolutely amazing on my 7mm Kraken (80gr. of Retumbo pushing a 180 Hybrid at 3185fps.) Less recoil and less jump than my partner's 6.5-284 with a JEC. But, on my 308 it jumped more than on the big 7mm. Less gas translated into less thrust out the top ports, I suspect. Would probaly need to reduce the port diameter to increase the thrust with the smaller volume of gas.

Give Gary at big horn sales an email he has lots of options and Julien at Downrange precision has just made a batch of very effective ones to you can find him on face book

Did things change with Brownells? I know they didn't ship muzzle devices, barrels and receivers without a bunch of paperwork and recently attached a $250.US processing fee.

Talk to Rick at Alberta Tactical in Calgary. I run his on both my .338 and my .300 win mag the gill brake design works great and does not kick up as much dirt as some

I just got a Terminator T3 put on my rem 5r 300 win mag and I am very impressed with it. I would say the rifle kicks about as much as my ACR and there is no muzzel jump. Also I found no noticeable noise increase for me and the guy shooting 15ft away said it wasn't worse then any other rifle. I ordered mine through Range Tech on facebook. I contacted Terminator and they said Mike at Range tech was the distributor for them in canada now. I am seriously thinking about putting them on all my bench rifles.

I don't know how it used it to be in the past, but it is super easy today, I currently have on the way in 2 gisselle triggers into as of today. I have ordered other lowers, triggers, and other stuff, with no issues. These 2 triggers still came out about $300 cheaper than buying here, even with the exchange rate and shipping.

Just fill out the export paperwork, and all is good

Just be careful of the exchange rate

If you don't mind my asking, how much?
