It has taken me a long time to get to shoot my 9.3, and 6.5 since buying them ,but this past couple weeks I had the chance finally to burn up some powder. I was apprehensive to squeeze off the first 286 gr load in the 9.3 x 62 because of all the stories I read about it being a punishing load. With max loads and 286 gr bullets this rifle is not a kicker at all.
I have to say I was totally surprised at the recoil. It is much less than my 30-06 delivers with a 165 gr max load, and still noticeably less than a 200/220 gr max load in the 06.
The 6.5 x 55 and 140 gr partition loads is just so sweet to shoot. I think I found a new Deer rifle Favorite that will also be good for Elk.
