Wood glue syringes.....where?

For repairing hairline cracks, one option is to thin out the wood glue a bit so it's a bit more watery so that it can seep deeper into the crack. Depending on the crack, If possible use a small suction cup or suck on the end of a makeshift tubing jig on the opposite end of the crack to draw in the glue.

Lol.. I am going to be using acraglas liquid for this repair and redoing the stocks as well. Do I have to do any prep work such as drawing oil out and,if so, what ? I bought this rifle off the EE solely because it had no cracks. Turns out it has one about 2 " long that I can spread enough for a syringe to fit .I don't think the seller knew it was cracked because I didn't notice it right away myself. It is a savage 99 if you haven't already guessed.
If you can work the crack, you are in luck. You can wipe the glue into the crack and then work the crack - repeating as necessary. You should be able to work the glue through the entire crack. Finish by clamping and cleaning up the squeeze-out. Start by applying tape or a release agent such as furniture wax to areas you don't want the glue to contact. I have had good results with this method many times in both furniture and stock repair.

Thanks, I was thinking that may be the place to check. Lee Valley only sells it by the roll I believe.
Trick I've used sucessfully to get glue into cracks is to thin out the glue - spread along the crack then use a "low pressure" air hose to blow the glue deep into the cracks. Do it a few times to completely fill the cracks ...
That sounds like a good idea.I wonder if one of those cans of air for cleaning your computer would work if a guy didn't have a compressor?

Pressure is probably way too high. High pressure results in glue everywhere you don't want it - walls, ceiling, glasses ....... Don't ask me how I know!

This is the way, on a budget....worked for me a couple of times....low pressure are the key words
The glue doesn't like going down small needles. So diabetes syringes are not going to work well unless the needle is removed. And most I've seen have the needle integral to the syringe. So I'm going to vote "farm supply outlet". The one locally has oodles of them in different sizes along with needle sizes suitable for wood glues.
There's another way though. Massaging. If you put some glue onto the crack then keep massaging it into the crack with a finger you will be surprised at how much you can get into the crack. When it's gone just add more and massage some more. In very little time you'll find it coming out the other end of the crack. No syringe required.
To protect the surrounding finish if this is an issue you can apply a couple of pieces of masking tape.

Glue syringes arrived yesterday from Lee Valley. Just have to pick up some surgical tubing and I'm off to the races. Damn though, it pisses me off having to do this, but it is what it is I guess.
