I have CZ 455 in 17HMR and recently got .22LR barrel for same gun.
Was convinced it can interchange barrels but now not sure how everything works because magazine would need spacer for 22 since it is shorter bullet.
Anyone have experience or know something about this???
Thanks ahead

If you got the .22 "barrel set" it should have come with a mag and a spacer, as well as a couple of hex wrenches. Contact the vendor, maybe?

I have the 455 22lr, anyone know where I can get the 17HMR kit?

Thanks

Patrick

Going from .22LR to .17HMR does not require anything other than a .17HMR magazine. Going from .17HMR or from .22 magnum to .22LR requires the magazine, the spacer, and the pin to hold the spacer in place. You could fashion your own pin, but the spacer is a bugaboo to get. I know from my own experience. I got mine from an American CZ shooter and gunsmith from RFC who kindly sold me one that he had as a spare.

When you swap barrels purchased independently from the rifle it says you need a gunsmith to check headspace. Ive read alot in forums that say its not necessary as cz manufactures these gun and barrels to extremely fine tolerances. Ive just bought a .17hmr barrel , whats the consensus on checking the headspace?
Thx

I took the two barrels and placed them chamber beside chamber with the barrels pointing in opposite directions (if that makes any sense), to see if there was any difference in length between the shank part that goes into the receiver. My Lilja and the original CZ barrel were exactly the same length (end of barrel touching the shoulder of the other barrel), and have had no headspacing issues.

Thanks,
Cal.

I had a 22lr and 22wmr and no issues. Both were bought separately
