More the cottagers complaining people were shooting yogi and booboo.
What is going to get people screaming for something to be stopped more? Ethical hunting videos or ones where someone is pumping round after round into a bear and laughing while they do it?
Well, wouldn't that be irrelevant the moment people start getting mauled by bears? Or bears start invading their safe space? There's been several bear attacks in the past year from what I've read... and aren't the ones that are making a big stink about it just the extremists that are against killing in general? I don't know... I can't make an opinion on this without some sources.
You seem to think logic means something with these people. Logicaly people should know a bad shot happens now and then, and that it isnt the norm. But since nothing to do with hunting or guns gets any logic applied to it. People are going to harp and complain about a bad shot and blow it well out of proportion and get things banned.
As an example cecil the lion. Comes out that there really wasnt any problem there. North american airlines banned any hunting trophies being sent by them. People called for banning it, they put the guy out of business over it.
Well..... There was a report that the lion was stalked for 40 hours after being struck by an arrow, and then finished with a gunshot.

That's exactly it though. Logic. There's illogical people everywhere and ignorant people everywhere... They don't set the laws and neither does an airline... I personally would not refrain from posting things that may offend other people... As I said though, I'm not a hunter.. I have nothing to post... Also regarding the lion killing, that was blown way out of proportion and its unfortunate for him... But there's unfortunate events that happen all the time...
Had that been a man with a club and the internet might have exploded lol... If there's anything I've learned from hunters and fishermen, seals are like the rats of the sea, except cute lol.

Thats the problem.. They DO make the laws. All it takes is enough people being illogical and screaming about something to have it banned. As stated there are 2 or 3 airlines that have banned trophies from their airline.
Banning something from an airline isn't law though. And hunting isn't going anywhere, and if it does, there will be serious repercussions.. Not a valid point for not posting a gruesome kill in my opinion.

Its cute you think it will never happen. Or rather could never happen. It can very well happen. There are already municipalities that dont allow hunting. They dont need to make laws around it. It can be banned through restrictions removing hunting seasons.
Well enjoy it thats the price of living in Wynns World LOL. Here in Alberta the hunts are decided by wildlife Biologists who study populations and determine the draws required and season start and close dates .
same in ontario. but the fact remains that the spring bear hunt should never have been removed as there was far more than an abundance of bears. the spring bear hunt was removed 15 years ago. so that would be before a liberal government here. wynn has brought the spring hunt back in limited area's. so you may want to go back and look again.
Yeah, but oddly enough, the spring bear hunt was canceled by Mike Harris, and re-instated by the Lieberals.

He has been charged with hunting out of season and no license along with other offences. Some individual was so disgusted with the hunt and pictures some anonuomyes viewer reported him.
Yeah, but we need to show this! Poacher Pride, don'cha know...he has every right to proudly proclaim his ignorance on the internet for all to see. It can only help us all as hunters...no need to be ashamed! This kind of thing won't sway public opinion at all, and can't possibly harm the cause of hunters, 'cuz hunting is here to stay, no matter what...

It seems there are some hunters that have forgotten "HUNTER ETHICS". Its common sense really. As the population grows in this country, so does the number of anti hunters, they aren't going away! We need non hunter's. If everyone hunted in this country there would be no game left and its already hard enough to get an L.E.H. LOL.

No, wildlife biologists don't decide. They make suggestions to the administration who in turn sets the seasons, license limits, etc. The administration is generally left to operate on its own, unless the political party in power feels there is a need to change something, for whatever reason. Then the minister's office steps in, and all biologists and administrators suggestions take a back seat.
And since you've just recently elected an NDP government in Alberta, you can be damn sure that the last thing on their mind is the welfare of animal populations. I speak from experience, I live in MB.
