Don't agree with Boomer on this one... in my .45/70's the .325 FTX proved to be the most accurate bullet I tried... and on stacks of wet news paper and pine, they stayed together and penetrated well... I did not shoot game with them, but based on what I saw, I would be confident using them on deer, black Bear, elk and moose... I would probably choose a heavier and tougher bullet for big bears or bison.

I guess I will just have to shoot these 10 boxes to get the brass oh well.
Hey Boomer I know that bear. I am waiting for my dies but want to carry this rifle now. I don't feel that I would be happy with this ammo for walking around. Looking for load data for the 420 or 480 too. I guess I will just have to shoot these 10 boxes to get the brass oh well.

The new hornady brass is the long stuff I just bought 100 pcs off Amazon and had it shipped to the door .... I didn't know Starline made brass for 450 marlin. .
