Quick snap. Got it to the range today for some handloads and a sight in. Love it and added a few bits and pieces on it. At the moment, life is complete :)

Looks like they weigh just over 7 pounds from what I have read, with the medium weight barrel only 20 inches long how does it balance say compared to a composite stock 24-26 inch sporter weight barrel? Does it feel much heavier? I am considering one for a carry around hunting rifle but don't want to get to heavy.

I bought one for the exact same purpose. Walking around on the range with it (from the 300m - 0m) it really doesn't feel too heavy. I just bought a limbsaver recoils pad for it but haven't installed it yet. I'll be curious to see how well it works. I won't be installing any muzzle brake, I have no plans on blowing out my eardrums while hunting.

I plan to have one re barreled to a 16" light profile fluted barrel specifically for the purpose of hunting, a 24-26" barrel is way too long for my hunting needs in a 308

Nice! I pick mine up tomorrow
A couple of questions,
1. What bipod is that? And did you need to do any modifications to install?
2. What brand of flash suppressor?
3. Oh and where did you get 1. And 2.

Cheers
