Sit couch spudd'in wartch'in the flames lick yer screen and one
can git feel'in awll warm and toesty.

Out of these calibers 223,243, and 270 which one would you guys choose for a plinker/backup hunting rifle for deer? I already have a 223 AR, 30-06 and a 375 H&H. I'd probably reload the cartridge.

243 it is! I don't know how it happened but I got another rifle. I have no room in my safe whatsoever and I'm trying to sell two guns to make room from another that's at the gunsmiths' right now.

If I hadn't bought a really nice wood stocked one in .243 a couple years ago on sale ($470), I'd be all over this deal. Mine is an S1 Vanguard though. The stock on these looks the same as the plastic stock on my S1 30-06, but with the camp added. Are these rifles the S2 in the older style stock?

It would seem so as they don't have the rubber inserts the s2 stocks have.

The point in your life when "it's at the gunsmith" just becomes extra storage
