Hey guys,
Question to those who know alot more than me. I have a standard Versa max, came with a Mod choke and trigger gaurd in the box. I Used to own a Benelli SN and loved the Carlson Choke tubes for water fowl. They patterned good enough for me and were fairly inexpensive for the set (close, mid and long range). So first thing i bought for the versa was the carlson choke tubes, they are nice, inexpensive, and knurrled for quick change in the blind.
My questions is what are duck and goose hunters on this sight using for chokes and ammo? and what ranges are you getting leathal hits at? I m just curious if i should look to other brands of ammo or choke for a more effective result.
I run Remi hyper out of the mid range choke, and when rocking the long range, black cloud or blind side. ( other choices or recomendations are welcome) I dont like swapping ammo, but carlson full (long range) doesnt recomend any more than 1550fps and hyper runs at 1700.
