Hey Ya'll

Looking at adding to my collection before the next election. Wolverine currently has a P226 stainless elite, at about 1400 dollars I'm wondering if I should pick one up now. I always seem to be too late to pick one up, so my question is. What were they going for 2-3 years ago? Do they retain their value better than other models. Are they usually hard to find?

I'm Also looking at a Kriss Vector Gen 2 FDE, So what I really want to know is which one should I buy first and which one is likely to still be available in a couple months.

Thanks for any and all input.

The P226 Elite Stainless model seems less available than many of the other P226 versions. I had to order mine.

Not sure of previous price, or how they hold their value.

Held a Kriss Vector Gen 2 in FDE last Friday--watch out for the stock! It looks like it should fold, but will break quite easily.

If it were me, I'd get the P226 Elite Stainless.

Thanks RC

If you don't mind me asking, how is the $1400 price tag? Is that in the ballpark of what you paid?
It's such a beautiful gun, I was diggin the tacops but those redwood grips and all stainless frame. Damn!

I've heard that about the Kriss stocks, but with the removal of a pin you can remove the stock to fit in a case or use as a "pistol". You can also buy the old style stock for it that will still allow to be folded. I think you're right. And if they are bringing in a 9mm Kriss it will take a while anyway before they're available. Then it'll be cheaper to feed as well.

I picked my 226 Elite Stainless from Wolverine a few years ago - around $1500. I had to wait as it wasn't in stock. Couldn't be happier though. Wouldn't sell it - go for it and you won't be disappointed.

$1400 is what I paid back in June.

Thanks for the info on the Kriss.

No problem, also they'll be coming out with conversion kits. So if someone has a Gen 1 they'll be able to get the squared barrel shroud, buttstock and new trigger. The calibre conversion kits will probably just be a complete lower in .45 or 9mm.

No kidding, thanks for the info. They had one when I first got my license but was out of my price range at the time. I can't even remember how much they wanted, I said I'd be back in 6 months for it, but she was gone. The one that got away, the great white buffalo.
