Hey guys!

I need some help to ID a rifle and figure out exactly what it is. I want to get a trigger for it and what not.

Stamped Sagemoor ENG. LTD Alpine model special.
It is a mauser action on it. Pretty sure it is a small ring 98.

Anyone know any background on these rifles?

I think it is a 98 large ring.
Nothing so simple as the original 98 Mauser trigger.
Did you mean you just want to replace the original or do you want to get a custom trigger?
Any gun smith must have the original triggers in their junk boxes.

Id love to order a timney trigger. But its a crap shoot on which model # to order. 50/50 chance.

Plus, i would LOVE some background on the rifle.

Reminds me of the 8mm/06 I got from you, I've searched high and low to find out who did the work because its so nice.
On mine all the lettering is polished of except for an F 3 on the left side of the receiver ring and none of the Mauser experts I have asked can figure it out.

It appears to be a large ring M98... I don't know why you think it is a small ring... I would expect all aftermarket triggers for M98 will fit it... It is NOT a commercial FN98.

Yes, they sure had that action smoothed up!
Kevan, I may be mixed up with another improved 98 I had, but I thought if you got the light just right there was a name barely visible on the left side of the receiver, that didn't get completely polished off.
