hi ,i have a 1905 ross rifle with a worn out barrel ,the rifle is in very good shape.I would like to get it up and running agian .I s there anywhere in canada where you can get a barrel relined, seems to be a few places online but they are all state side .Any help would be appreciated

Barrel liners are usually used for relining shot out rim fire bores. I have also seen them made for old blackpowder cartridges. I don't think that they can stand up to the pressures of smokeless loads.

You are perfectly positioned to have it rebored and chambered to 35-303, and never look back! Shoot everything from 150 gr 38 cal pistol bullets to 300 gr jacketed. Hunt whatever you want in NA.

Friend of mine here in Whitehorse has one that Bevan King did many years ago, and it is still well able to bring home the bacon.

As Why not stated, your gun is a candidate for reboring, it is the most reasonable way to go.
You have a few options as far as calibers to go to, and Ron Smith is one of the few people doing reboring anymore.
Give him a call an discuss with him.

Just to let you know he's a bit hard of hearing and you have to speak clearly.... you'll be happy.

I relined a barrel to 50-70 using bearing retaining Loktite to secure it and have had no problems with the result. A friend of mine relined a modern centerfire again with no problems. Can't remember the caliber but it was in the 6.5 mm range. About the only problem that I can think of using Loktite is if for some peculiar reason you were doing a lot of rapid fire shooting and the barrel heated up to the release temperature, you would loose the bond

Ah, I thought the OP's username was familiar.

Gord, you messaged me a while back about getting a new barrel for your rifle....

I do apologize, as I have been wanting to get at threading a few for the old Ross rifles, but I just haven't had the time. I currently have a blank sitting in my lathe, ready to be threaded (for the last 6 weeks) but I'm away from home for work and when I go home I'm usually helping with farm stuff.

Last night I ordered a couple more blanks, should be here in about 8 weeks if all goes well.

well that sounds good a new barrel would be the way to go,im in no rush but would like to one day get the old ross up and runningand if i can keep it in its original caliber that would be great.I will send you a pm
Thanks everyone for the very helpful replies
