Is anyone using this combo? I am getting 3050fps over an Oehler with 200gr Partitions and 7828 but haven't tried the 220's yet. I had really good luck with that bullet and .300 WM + H1000 in the past.

1899..........I'm using RL 25 with 200s in my 24" 300 Wby and getting 150 fps more than that, while still being able to reuse my brass ;) and I did play with a box of the 220s but just couldn't get used to the semi RN profile on what I view to be a very long range cartridge. Think I tried RL 25 and Retumbo and some old H870 I had, but I never kept the data as it's just not a combo that enamors me at all.........love the 200gn ABs though.
I have been pondering giving them a go in my 300 RUM actually, just to see what they'll do, and of course if I can drive them fast enough it will pretty much overcome the lousy BC within 500 mtrs.

I have no RL25 left and haven't seen any around for ages. Out of a 24" barreled Remington I was getting somewhere around 2950 but don't have the velocity in front of me. It was around 84.0gr IIRC (don't anyone else use that load because I am going from memory) and I was getting some flattening of the primer - R-P cases.

My .300 WM would get about 2850fps with the 220gr and that made it an easy 350 yard load. Not very long range, but good for most of my circumstances. That bullet really performs on game. Not that the 200gr Partition is a slouch by any stretch of the imagination.
