Meh... I was always preferential to Tubbs and his sawed-off!
And his 2" snubbie too?

I purchased my first, of 4, Bren10 SM guns, from Mt Man Sports in Cranbrook, BC in 1985. They brought in 5 Bren10s. All had 2 mags which looking back was amazing that a little store in nowhere Canada received 5 guns, and 10 mags.
Now have my only pistol with unique serial # and 5 mags. My loads are the equivalent of a soft 40 SW to hopefully prevent any parts breakage. I actually shot this B10 at the last Soldier of Fortune 3 gun match in Vegas a lot of years ago at the Desert Sportsman range. Around 250 competitors and very hot out there. I picked up some spare parts from Tim Lafrance in San Diego back in about 1992ish, as he bought all of D&D's old stock. I'm told Tim passed away and his old stock was purchased by someone else.
I have to shoot some of the original Norma 170gr HP loads before I croak. When this gun first came to Canada those HP loads were prohibited from importation. I know doesn't make sense, but it was Canadian gun law, didn't have to.
That first B10 was serial 84SM01250 and I sold it around 1987/1988. So if you have that gun, that is the history of it. One of the first 5 B10 guns in Canada.
I remember running around the parking lot looking for someone with a small file so you could fix the extractor on that gun! Auggie D.
Colt Delta mags didn't work with the Bren 10. I've never had a problem with the mags I used in any of the guns I had. The combo 45/10 mags apparently had issues, but I've never played with them.Brass is always available, 2star, and Winchester
The mags that came with the gun were a PITA, but modding Delta Mags worked also
Ya, when I blew the extractor and re-built it, I function tested with older brass that had been re-loaded probably 8-10 times. Of course the bases were flatter than new brass. However, me being the "smart guy" didn't think of it, and went to fire the match with my loads using new brass. The bases were too thick to go under the extractor claw and of course failure to load. That was a new lesson for me. Test the gun with the ammo you're going to use at the match. I did a great job of building up the claw and re heat treating so that the extractor has been working great since. Sure sucked for making the B10 a single shot pistols for 4 of the 5 pistol stages.
Frig that was a fun match, place, events..... I still have that photo with you, me and the other Canucks with Robert K.
EAA makes a Witness model in 10mm...seems to me that this would be at least something like the Bren 10. I've considered getting one, but I don't know how they hold up to full-power loads.

IIRC, it's not (or wasn't at the time) generally recommended. I went with a Glock 20 and a Lone Wolf 10mm barrel so I could shoot "normal" 10mm loads and even some crazy stuff like the Buffalo Bore 220gr hard cast @ 1140fps
The new Sig 220 in 10mm is also supposed to be designed to handle "normal" 10mm loads, if you want to wait for it to hit Canadian dealers
It took a licking and kept on tickin'. However, during that single hand stage it did slow me down considerably, especially from under that table where I had to reach up and slam it closed. No style points. The look of horror on the RO's face as you smacked the rear of the slide on the edge of that table to get the gun into battery was worth the price of admission!
Auggie D.

IRunGuns has the Sig P220 10mm.
Absolutely gorgeous pistol.
Just bought SIG 220 Elite SAO from Fishing World in Hamilton. Works terrific.
On the must have list. Well guess I'd have to get one in my hands before really jumping aboard. Recently larger bore pistols with fair amounts of "kick" have been peaking my interest. Something in 10mm that can handle regular use with full house loads may be something I'd enjoy.
If anyone has one, or knows of one for sale (Canada or USA) PLEASE drop me a line.
