This is an update to my Wingmaster post (post #400 on page 40)
My 14" Wingmaster barrel arrived today, here is a picture with the Police furniture and 14" barrel:
That is VERY "retro-cool"!!!
Just when I thought my 870 addiction was under control, another one follows me home.... I could not say no to this mint condition, unfired Marine Magnum.
It will eventually end up with a Remington 14" barrel, something like this:
However I am not sure if I will get a parkerized barrel refinished to match (ideally in electroless nickle or maybe a matching paint on finish?) or if I will import a 14" marine barrel. Either way I love the Marine Magnum but don't care for the 18.5" barrel and +3 extended mag tube.
Does anyone know of a company that will do electroless nickle finishing on a barrel and mag cap???
Update: It looks like the factory 14" Marine barrel is only available with a high front Trijicon sight, like this:
So I am thinking I will refinish a 14" lo-profile rifle sight barrel like the one in the second picture (above).
It will eventually end up with a Remington 14" barrel, something like this:

S&J +1 / Follower / Jumbo Safety
GG&G forward rail (for added tacticool accessories which I never use)
Speedfeed stock set
Heck of a lot of fun.. and reliable.

Yes sir. Around 500 rounds before I sent it out. You know, low & high brass depending.
I will Be honest, before I sent it out the action was so smooth. Real loose. Now it's a little sticky compared. I haven't really pushed the new remodel as of yet weather depending. I know one thing. It stil goes BANG when required.
