Lee Loadmaster ...... HELP!

Hi Folks,
I'm running in to a problem with my Load Master........ The case feeder is real sticky and the shell plate won't index. I have the new plastic part that goes on the square rod and I've tried different positions. The shell plate ....... well, I just don't know. I've tried a number of ideas to no avail. The big problem is this ..... It worked properly back some time ago but I was off shooting for a while and now, although there were no adjustments made, I have a problem.
Any and all advice is appreciated.
 
Take the case feeder off, and clean the surfaces. I have tried all sorts of lube on that part, and since I cleaned it and sprayed it with hornady one shot dry lube and cleaner, it works like a charm. Did the same to all my dies, shell plates, and the hopper assembly too.
 
Thank you. I had cleaned it but was hesitant to put any lube on it. I'll try to pick up that hornady product today.

For the shell plate, it is possible the alignment of the carriage is off.

On mine the alignment goes out just slightly every 5 to 10k rounds or so.

First I check the turret is indexed correctly and the set screw is tight.

IF that is not the problem then at the bottom of the ram below where you empty the primers is a bolt. 7/16 i believe. I loosen that bolt just slightly, put an empty case in the cap deprime station 1 and a loaded bullet in the bullet seater or FCD station and slowly raise the shell plate until the cariage / shell plate is at it's highest height.

Usually as it comes up and the emply and loaded round fully insert into the dies there is just the slightest movement of the shell plate / carriage and the alignment is set. Then i snug down that 7/16 bolt and test alignment by loading a few rounds.

Anybody have any comments on the RCBS Turret press? Dependable? Can't afford a Dillon. I've pretty much reached my limit of patience with the LEE loadcrapper. I have certainly spent almost as much time adjusting as I have actually loading.

Been there - you're not alone and it's not over. You will always be fixing / tweaking it.

NOW is the time to bite the bullet and invest in something decent.

Why are Hornady and Dillon more expensive than Lee?
Because you don't go through this - and THIS - is never going to end with your Jammaster.

I'm sorry, but someone had to point out the obvious.
