Ranger rifle for civilians

Looking to buy a Canadian Ranger style rifle, anyone have any info if there will be a civilian model made of the new C 19 Canadian ranger rifle, I can't see Sako allowing Colt to build a model for civilians. Any feedback about the CZ Ranger rifle ? Thanks
 
Apparently the new Ranger Rifle is a modified version of the Tikka T3 Compact Tactical Rifle but we don't seem to be able to get it in Canada.

Conceptually, the closest you can get in Canada is the Ruger Gunsite.

if it is available Stateside you could get Irun guns or Prophet River to bring it in for you?

Tikka T3 Compact Tactical Rifle...AKA the CTR is available in Canada, maybe not in great supply yet but they are here. You could pick one up and then get Boyds to make a stock for you.
 
Buy:

1x T3 light stainless in 308
1x full length picatinny rail for tikka t3
1x Boyd's classic stock in custom red or orange
1x CDI precision bottom metal for AICS mags
1x NECG peep for pic rail.

Get a gunsmith to bob and thread the barrel, and inlet the stock for the CDI bottom metal.

Get a machinist to make you a front sight.

Done. Or at least close enough.
 
Just sit tight I'm sure tikka or colt canada will eventually put a few similar ones to the public. People are snatching up the colt Iur. There's a business opportunity there for colt if it's profit to be made they may have a go at it.

yes that is right they are all part of Beretta group but the agreement will be interesting to see and how the public will touch the civilian if any. Sako is producing the tikka t3 for the world civilian and LEO/ military markets and Colt Canada is for the Rangers.

but we will see.
 
I think if Stoeger would concentrate on getting the CTRs readily available in Canada they'd sell a truckload or two, exact Ranger configuration not needed. I want one in 260 pretty bad.

sako is only licensing colt to make their rifle for military contract and for a undisclosed. Profit margin. Why would they allow colt to produce their rifles for civilian sales without a seperate contract/licensing agreement?

You can just buy a stainless CTR direct from sako/tikka. Our only problem is having to get stoeger canada to place the order.

So how much would you be willing to shell out for the same rifle? $8000? $6000? $3500? Cuz that's what they are going to cost us civvie losers for a Tikka T3 that retails for about $1000 now....
