Ordered last week, it arrived today. Great service and communications from Irunguns. Took a couple crappy cell phone pics because my camera is packed for a house move and this is all I have at the moment...

It is about like I expected, moderate holster wear with all the mechanical bits looking decent. The worst of the holster wear is on the top corners of the rear sight. The actual edges of the notch are sharp and clean, but the polishing on top may cause glare on those bright sunny days. I may need to black that area a bit to eliminate the issue, but will know more after shooting. Everything is tight and smooth as far as I can tell/feel. The night sights still glow just fine and are very visible in low light. Mags look used, with finish wear but nothing unusual. They are numbered by hand to match the gun. Mag lips are all good, followers are good and the base plates are not beat up at all.

If all goes right I will get to the range on friday to test drive it and see if it functions properly. Price was $602 shipped to my door, taxes included.

I know its a cynical thought but I always think to myself, "I wonder if this ever shot a bad guy" or "good guy" when it comes to some of my milsurps, we all think it, we just don't voice it.
On that note gun looks good! I would black out the rear sight and have at er!

If I didn't already have an M&P45 I would have jumped on this deal. I doubt very much a police sidearm would have more than superficial wear on it. Have fun!

I have been watching the EE for a while now and hadn't seen one come up for sale. When this deal came out I figured I better take it or be waiting endlessly for the EE to come through.

It has occurred to me as well. Just part of the history and character of the gun, but it is something to wonder about.

Did it come with regular capacity mags that were pinned to 10 or the ugly half plastic restricted capacity ones?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but.... don't "buy back" programs usually consist of "buying back" guns that are owned by the general population, not police departments?

I thought that's how Libtard States rolled south of the border: thinking they can buy back violent crime through useless and costly political endeavors (a.k.a. gun buy back programs - as if the homies cared to trade in their Glocks for a Walmart gift card!).

This must be giving you the heebie geebies knowing it's got a cops DNA on it:cool:

Or you just have to wash it real well first.

Bleach will get all of that nasty DNA off of it, no problem. ;)

Took it out to the range today and ran 80 rounds through it. Functioned 100% with 230gr FMJ and two different hand loads using a 200gr cast SWC. Shot good with the FMJ but didn't like the SWC, with lots of vertical stringing. I will have to do some tweaking to get that sorted. Shoots very soft, with noticeably less recoil and muzzle flip than my 1911. Trigger is ok, with a decent break but is quite heavy. It must be close to 8lb. I see an Apex kit in its future if that doesn't smooth out at all. For the M&P guys out there, is there a way to drop the pull weight without a full kit? I know I can swap individual parts in my G19 to achieve what I want and am hoping for similar with this one.

Police buybacks are where the manufacturer purchases old police guns, refurbishes them and sells them to retailers such as IRUNGUNS.
