Ammo question

What .22 ammo isn't dirty?? I have only bought the usual off the shelf stuff and haven't tried any of the more expensive match stuff .. is it any cleaner? I just assumed all rimfire ammo is dirty, just how it is.

It works good enough for plinking/targets for me. Definitely not match grade consistency. Maybe a little dirtier than others...as said 22 is typically sooty. I'd buy another bucket when this one is empty. I usually buy a brick of whatever is available at the time...some works out great for one gun vs another...rarely does one work great for everyone. I have had some really nice match stuff...great accuracy be the smell was horrible and velocity too low, for me, for hunting.

Buy up various stuff...it's fun to trade with others at the range.

Ran to the cabela's to grab some. No shortage of. 22lr here. Boxes and boxes of winchester m-22 1000 count bulk pack. Shelves were full.

My gsg eats golden bullets very nice. Usually at 300-400 rounds in i a get a few failures related to the dirty nature of them. Wal mart sells the 525 pack for $32. If u want to try some before buying a bucket.

The walmarts here always have bare shelves. I hear tales of walmart elsewhere having stock regularly but alas I have yet to experience it for myself.

They're not bad, they're standard .22 rounds. My .22s don't mind them, I just clean the rifles afterward and they don't seem to be any dirtier than other brands.
