Is forming brass for .358 Win. as simple as just running .308 brass through a full length .358 Win. resizing die?

Made some 358 brass from 30-06 once.
It was just a project to see if it was worth the effort and it was a lot of fun as well.
Don't remember if I kept the tooling that I used on my lathe when I moved in July.
Will be glad to get into our new house in December.
The 358 and all reloading stuff went this summer.

I miss it.

I can lube .308 cases and run them straight through my .358 dies... but I vastly prefer properly headstamped ammo... and .358 Win cases are not hard to come by.

I have a good supply of 358 stamped brass but prefer to use 308 for working up loads. Beat up the cheap stuff.

Those Horandy dies I mentioned are nice for erveryday loading as well as necking up brass. I've used mine a lot

Got some once fired .308 brass. Ran them through my Lee .358. Win dies, lubricated inside and out...Loaded up some .358 ammunition. BUT....No matter what I do, they will not chamber in my rifle. I tried chambering some unloaded brass....the bolt will not close on them...what is the problem? Is the Lee sizing die not sizing properly. Am I not running them deep enough into the die? I thought the only difference between .358 Win and .308 was the diamenter of the bullet? Any suggestions?

I always liked properly headstamped cases and had several bags of brass cases acquired when they were plentiful.
I let my win 88 lever 358 win go in 2012 shortly after the lg registry fell.
The barrel and metal were immaculate with not a scratch in the wood and the deal offered by someone who just had to have the gun was one I couldn't refuse.
I sold 6 bags of new 358 win brass with the gun.
Don't see why brass of the 358s parent cartridge the 308 win ran through a 358 win sizing die wouldn't work.
