Well known Canadians who are gunnies

Bob Poley and Roger Aldag (former 20yr Sask Roughriders) are both huge DU guys, as well as fishermen and hunters. Lots of other Riders are too.

I know that Brock Lesnar, although not CDN, hunts near Fort Qu'Appelle/Indian Head every year.

I betcha that Ian Tyson is..... But no proof.

So Brock Lesner hunts in Sask, and poaches in Alberta?

Yeah, I'm not sure that Brock would be the poster boy we're looking for! And Ian Tyson is an active, working rancher in southern Alberta. He owns a gun or two. ;)

Grab the latest edition of 'Calibre Magazine' and read Justin's views/plans about firearms...

What's the gist of the article?

Also, was it in the context of an actual interview with our next PM, or was it more of an opinion piece/speculation?

I haven't heard anything directly from the horse's mouth on this subject, so would be interested knowing if there's anything that he's said on record. Am very much hoping that we're not going back to the post-Polytech idiocy... fingers crossed.

Rowdy Roddy Piper. RIP

Don't let anyone take your guns away. Disarming the population is the 1st step to total control! "

Carey Price, i saw a picture of him hunting coyotes with an ar-15 in black rifle mag.

I confirm, I've seen Carey Price a couple of times at my shooting club in Montreal shooting his Springfield M1A (can surely afford it over a Norc M305 ;) )

Even got to shake his hand, great guy.

Deadmau5 is I believe.

No one knows what he looks like without the Mickey Mouse head, so he could be anonymous in any crowd!

A number of new handgun shooters are first generation immigrants enjoying privileges not available in their country of origin. No doubt there are musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, academics and other unlikely shooters in communities the rest of us would never expect.

Petersenhunting.com had a pro gun celeb thing a while back. It mentioned Avril Lavigne liked to hunt. There's a bio on Graham Greene that mentions guns in his house but he'd had a run-in with the police so dunno if that helps.

Unless something new has happened, Brock became a much more respectful person after he almost died back in 2008-09. He was a total Pr!ck before that, but really humbled up after that. I'd go schoosting with him. If Corb would come along, that'd be cool too.

I would hope our latest Canadian Superhero Kevin Vickers is one. Unless he packs strictly for duty/service. Anyone knows if he belongs to a shooting club?

Some of the above people would be great.

It'd also like to see the various provincial groups (Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association here in Alberta) in charge of CFSC and CRFSC Courses be involved/consulted on anything firearms related. Most of these organizations are made up of volunteers who love shooting sports, are already trusted by the government, and many are former law enforcement.

BC's Lieutenant Governor might be a proponent for some of the cause. She and her family is heavily involved in farming-ranching/BC Cattlemen's association. As a very public figure she may have to tone down or avoid discussing her personal views on the subject. We gave her a 15-Gun Regal Salute at the opening of the legislature.
