cci vs winchester large rifle primers

Anyone have experience with the differences between these two primers?

Internet rumour has it the winchesters run a bit hotter so load down 1/2 grain?

I know I should run a full ladder again with any change of component but time is short and deer season is almost upon us. I ran a ladder using cci primers and have what I think is an ideal load. I'm hoping that someone will chime in telling me what I want to here, just load down 1/2 grain using the winchester primers.

My primers are a decade old, judging by their pricetag of $29.95 for 1000. I think my lot predates these issues.

those are the ones. I figured old primers for an classic 30-30 deer hunt with a 1957 winchester 94. I'm full of nostalgia. nothin but irons.
