I've lurked in this sub-group since joining CGN back in January because I anticipated that some day I would start reloading.

About a month ago I picked up a Lee press and a bunch of assorted paraphernalia and this week I finally screwed up the courage to start reloading some .303 British. Today I knocked out 10 rounds (to test, no reason to crank out 150 and find out I did something wrong) and I'll be taking them out to the range tomorrow to test out. Next is to try my hand at 6.5 Jap!

At any rate, long story short I just wanted to thank you all for your questions, answers, thoughts and advice that's been collectively offered in this sub-forum. I learned quite a bit and now have yet another time sink in my life ;)

So, my thanks!

Cheers! Let us know how the .303 works out for you.

Reloading is an enjoyable hobby in and of itself. People say it cuts costs, but I find it just makes me shoot more, so that advantage is gone. Enjoy it for what it is - just stay smart and safe.

You are welcome. Enjoy your new passion! Always feel free to ask, if you need reloading advice, of any kind. There's a whole bunch of very knowledgeable and experienced folks on this forum, always willing to share their expertise. Be sure to update everyone on your range experience. Have fun. And stay safe.

Went out to the range about two hours ago and the rounds worked perfectly. I don't know if my reloads were more accurate than factory but it was deeply satisfying firing ammunition that I made.

Now the challenge to find the most accurate load, is what makes it fun, also annoying when things don't go your way. But boy is it ever satisfying, knowing that you developed a sub moa load all on your own! I finally think I found my most accurate loads (with different powders), just need to make some more up and do some "testing". Isn't that what it's all about? More and more "testing", which means more trigger time.
