New'ish Glock19 TB (Gen 3) shooting left. Anyone else?

Not a big deal, I've already done my research and for reasons unknown I have a G19 TB (Gen 3) which shoots about 3" Left at 25m; I did some research and there seems to be a lot of people out there (i.e. USA) with similar experiences. I've read it had affected a few different models.

It's not the shooter. I've had multiple people shoot it, all shot left. Sitting benched and off bags, same thing. Left.

I just changed the sights. Still, left. I finally drifted the rear sight over to the right all is well now. POA is POI and it's ridiculously consistent (I'm hitting paper plates with all 10shots at 50m off-hand; never done that before with any handgun.)

This Glock is one of the most accurate pistols I've ever owned; I'm really impressed with it, except for the fact that the rear sight is visibly-offset and (almost at edge of right dovetail-cut.)

Anyone else out here in Canada have a similar Glock?

It's a little sad, because I've put close to 2000rnds through it flawlessly. The offset rear sight just keeps it from being "perfect." <le sigh>

If you can do that, don't worry if the rear sight is a little off.

Heck, if you can do that, you shouldn't care if it was painted bright neon pink leopard print.

Just be glad it's a shooter.

I hit 1/3 with my friend's 226 at 100yds once! All fluke though!

Seriously though. I notice shooting left is a trend for Glock shooters. My friend has a Gen 4 17 and I have a Gen 2 19. We both shoot left also. I have to consciously "pull" the trigger to the right to hit the middle. The trigger is actually squeezed straight back but the finger effort and perception is that I'm pulling the trigger to the right. Maybe give that a try.

Heheh thanks all, as stated I've never shot this good. But, some of the credit must go to the ridiculous handgun calibers over the last several years I impulsively dove into (I'm looking at you 44MAG MAX-Loads!) 9mm feels like "almost" like shooting a .22lr now which does wonders for trigger control. ;)

Never graduated to the .454 Casull. Those Ruger Alaskans were/are seriously tempting me. I'm now at a stage in my life where I'm simplifying: .22lr, 12GA, .223/5.56 and 9x19 is all I'll ever need (or so I tell myself).

Anwyay. Thanks. I think I just needed to get public <sigh> of sorts out there. Nothing is perfect ;) so I'll stop complaining now cause everything else is good.
 
My new G19/TB was exactly the same, tried shooting about 300 rds through it until I figured out it was the gun. I drifted the sight right a little and now its dead on. Never had this problem with my G17 or any other pistols.
I'd say it shoots pretty good now

The rear sight is noticeably right in the dovetail, but the gun is so accurate, fast and easy to shoot I don't care on iota about it. I'm a good 1/2 second faster on the draw with it than anything else I own. I can see why it bothers you though.

Sounds like that your suffering from BBS (Bent Barrel Syndrome) :). Seriously though, I would suggest changing both the front and rear sights to low profile adjustable Glock sights. Those high profile sights on the Glock 19 (TB) are for use with a silencer and they may be interfering with proper sight alignment.
 
try different ammo, some powders can cause different poi. I would say maybe you are torquing a bit , but that would be if you where shooting left at 7 yards. At 25 yards, i would say ammo, or try a slight change in your grip. I would be happy with your groups, its a service pistol.
 
Drift you rear sight to the right and carry on. I see a lot of paralysis from analysis here - sometimes a chocolate milkshake is just a chocolate milkshake, don't turn it into something that it's not. Too many people with no idea giving advice about something they know nothing about...

Glocks don't shoot left, however improper grip will cause someone to shoot a glock left.

I shoot to the left as well with my G17, but also with other similar guns. This doesn't happen with my Buckmark .22 with the light short trigger. I know it's my fault and I'm trying to work through it (and not by drifting my site either).

Glocks don't shoot left, however improper grip will cause someone to shoot a glock left.

It is entirely possible for the pistol to be shooting to the left, it isn't "always" the shooter. If the gun has been shot from a rest by several shooters of known ability and is still shooting left I say adjust the sights.

But what do I know...

I have aG17 as well that I have put a bunch of rounds down a factory barrel and a lone wolf barrel. Mine shots a little high for some reason has since I got it, did the different shooter as well all with the same results. I have just learned to live with it, if your shooting that accurately then I'd say don't change a good thing.
