Unfired Winchester Model 94 Centennial 1866-1966 Rifle, Too shoot of not to shoot?

Well, what sellers price Commemoratives at aren't what they sell for. If they sell at all.
The same rifle is on the EE right now with box for $720. While the non gold receiver versions sell for $600-$700.
Although pretty, remember that they are also post 64...
I would shoot it, because I live my life. I don't squander it worrying about dollars and cents.

I was just watching Klondike Trappers yesterday and one of the Trappers had a Commemorative RCMP 94 over his shoulder while deep in the bush.

I cant find it, I would like to get another one some day so ill have to keep a look out.

I've actually always wanted one myself. Great rifle. I might have to snag it since shipping is included!

After going threw ever post I found it in the last place I looked lol. Very tempting to pick one up, Even if its used and has afew scratches it would still look great. I may wait to find a 45-70 tho, no need for 2 of pretty much the same gun sitting around.... Having multiple surplus guns is why I own this now. It looks much better then my SKS :p

Cmon man! Search function helps!

I think starting up a lever gun collection in light of recent events isn't such a bad idea...

Yeah I love the idea of semi autos, but honestly, the 5 round limit just frustrates me and gives me blue balls.

I love manually operated actions.

My safes are chalk full of pumps and milsurp bolts. Now I want to start loading up on levers.

I recently took a closer looked, Checked bolt face, hammer, and even the back of firing pin for contact, cant find any sign of use. Very temping to shoot it.

I am no expert on these 94 comms but I have heard that they are only collectible if they are NIB meaning still NEW - not fired, not handled, not cycled... Nothing.

I think that some of these comms are a bit cheesy, yours looks very nice, and would certainly be a classy piece to use in the bush.

If I had it I would shoot it and deer hunt with it, or be tempted to sell it and find a nice pre 64.

Shoot it if you like. The commemorative 94's are only collectible with original box and hang tags/ manuals. Whether unfired or not makes little difference to value once they are gone in my experience. Or sell it and buy a minty pre 64. It will appreciate in value more than the commemorative.

That's true, if you don't have the box anymore, and you're unsure if it's unfired, it loses a lot of its collectability appeal. May as well take her out and blast away.
