Sorry, perhaps a stupid question but I have a Colt IUR/Diemaco lower on the way. What would be the best type of sling to go with? I've only ever used the standard type sling on my shotguns and have no experience with AR accessories.

I should also mention that I have $25 in store credit at CanAm that I would prefer to use for this purchase. Thanks.

I use the VCAS at work, and its all I want to use. So much so that I bought the SAW model with the Nomex front end so I didn't melt my first one on a hot C9 barrel.

I like the VCAS, the VTAC and the Sheriff of Baghdad all about equally.

I need another sling and I'll be giving the Gear Dynamics's Accelerator a try & at the same time continue supporting a CDN company (and a CGN member).

I've nothing but good things to say on the BFG VCAS and the VTAC.

That's interesting. I'd never heard of those.

I'll definitely give one a go.

As far as the ms3 goes, I can't be bothered with single point slings for much, so what's the point of a convertible one? Why not just use a properly designed 2-point?

I can't recall when AngryEyeBrows released them, but if it on par with the quality of his other products (I've been using a very early productions of this 1st chest rig), you don't be disappointed. That (construction quality) and the fact that he's served long enough to determine actual needs of those with boots the ground usually helps in putting a product that'll function as intended.

Pricing is pretty darn competitive as well @ $30 (without attachment points).

I saw the Vickers the other day. Padded. Looks nice.

I run a cheap browning for misc duty and a Magpul something gen 4? It works. Not too amped up on it though and likely better out there. It does have nice metal fittings but that comes back in weight and gun scratches. I don't use slings too often. The last time I used it was for the Lethbridge RCMP training/course day. Once again, it worked...

The above AR looks like a Afgan special? (I wont' say the other term for them....) I own one too! Great gun with tons of character and history.
