What will he score?? updated post 64

You have yourself talked into harvesting him already. Good for you however if you shoot deer this size you will probably not shoot a big hog unless it's pure luck. Shoot or don't shoot but he really isn't that big IMO.

I cull smaller oddball gear heads all the time for table fare. Keeps the herd from having deer with messed up tiny antlers!! Have one right now hanging around camp with straight sticks, it's the third year I have seen him, and he just keeps growing bigger straight up sticks!! He will be on the BBQ in less than a week :)

And the good looks too!! Lol

nah, he's eating all my cabbage and corn, every day at the exact same time. There is also a nice little 10 point I am goin to let my 11 year old son take for his first deer.

Dont let a score stop you from shooting a deer you want....scoring antlers is stupid.

This buck is a shooter all day in my books. I hunt 90% for meat in the freezer, I put in some time looking for a bigger buck, but as the week winds down, and no doe tag, a good eater buck is all it takes.

Guess I shouldn't say its stupid but guys get waaay to hung up on antler scores...its all about the experience. Some of my favorite hunts ended in taking a small buck and even a doe.

Cheers!!

Any more photos of him yet from this year?

No, it's 7 hours away this time of year (no ferry) I am heading there on Nov 14, to hunt the following week. I would assume I will have more photos then, but will be unable to post them until I get home after the hunt.
