Well, CanAm is having another sale, this time for 7.62x54r and x25 I think I will get a case of x54 at $212 and three boxes
of x25 at $15 each for a total of $260 in order to get the additional 10% credit. But here is the thing; I don't have a TT33.
I have an RPAL and I want to collect as many Russian guns as I can, but the TT33 hasn't happened yet. Is buying ammo for
a gun you don't have - normal - for CGNers? Or is this something I need to see a doctor about?

haha If you do buy ammo before the gun, then consider yourself a real Canadian Gun Nut :)

Good on ya! Check out Lever Arms for nice post war non refurb Tt-33's for $169. Or Wemajack here on CGN EE has great pics of the exact one you'll get.

The majority (almost all) of their non-refurb TT-33s are refurbished. I had to disassemble 5 that were marked non-refurbished to actually find one that was truly non-refurbished. A stamped number doesn't mean it wasn't a replacement. However, if you're willing to accept a refurbished pistol (99% of them are) it's a great deal for $169 and Lever has some nice post-war pistols.

I haven't even touched the 2000 rounds I ordered from their last x54r sale! I'm still working on old Chinese stuff and two crates of Bulgarian silver tip from WSS...
Didn't stop me from ordering more this time though...

This is the same stuff that was deemed corrosive I guess, they have corrosive in the add,, I got some last time and wondering if I should bite again!? Last time I think it came to $199. Still a great price, has anyone shot it?

I've gone through a full crate with only a single ftf,and I've just ordered another. One of my buddies is working on his second crate with no issues what so ever.

I bought two crates of the 54r this past spring. I didn't jump on this deal because I found this is heavy ball machine gun ammo, and it isn't as accurate as everything else that's out there now. It's very reliable and great for dumping plenty of high powered rounds down the pipe of my SVT40 but when it comes to shooting my Mosin, I much prefer the better accuracy of the Bulgarian silver tip or the old Chinese stuff.

Yes it is a MG ammo

I don't shoot from rests or benches or with scopes, and don't measure MOA with my Mosins.
I'm honest with myself enough to not blame the ammo when I miss Lol! So, this ammo treats me and my Mosins just fine.

Glad I read this thread, Just order another case of the 7.62x54r since I have to use the store credit. I must have missed their sale announcement in FaceBook and perhaps else where in CGNs.
