It's not a commonly known fact, but Ukrainian firearms factory Fort produces Jericho pistols and Tavor rifles and pistol caliber carbines under their name (Fort). I've seen Tavors in Ukraine new for like $1000 or $1500.
The question is - why nobody is trying to import them to Canada? The quality is the same (it's basically the same rifles), the price is way lower than Tavors made elsewhere. After seeing them sold for that low, I can't justify paying $2800 for the same thing.

It's also interesting that they are producing Tavors not only in 5.56x45 but also 5.45x39 which is not available in Canada.

I guess, one possible cause is that for unknown reason the factory don't have Tavors in English version of their site, but they are in other versions - Russian and Ukrainian.

Most likely you're right, but firstly Jericho pistols are available in all languages and secondly their rifles section (only available in Russian and Ukrainian) contains not only Tavors but also their own AK variants.

Those AK variants are Galils specifically the ACE in 3 different calibers

The Tavor's produced by Fort are full auto. So you can import em, but your market of valid Canadian buyers is going to be extremely limited.

If I were to hazard a guess, I'd suspect that could be where Marstar got theirs...
