So. Im going to miss opening morning because some ditz at the barrie service office has no idea about the jobs she is doing. My dad went to pick up farm tags and put us in the draw for this area. Get both for him. He asked about for me and the woman said "nope all he needs is this antlerless deer tag". My dad not being all that up on what one needs took her word for it. I asked if he got everything and he said yep.

So i have to wait for crappy tire to open up here in the morning and get a seal for myself as im not willing to get caufh using my dads seal.

Sadly, it's on us to know what's what, I have corrected many CO's even on current laws regarding anything outside of limits, seasons, etc....

I agree though that those behind the counter should know enough to give sound advice when asked for.

Those Service Ontario clerks are general employees of the province. Historically they do health cards etc... few have any kind of background with hunting regulations or requirements... they follow a computer program to produce your licence... if you ask a question outside of the licencing process, good luck.

That is unfortunate, missing opening morning. I missed opening morning of turkey season a few years ago... but that was on me... forgot to buy my tag.

You would expect when you are picking up 2 controlled hunt tags and a game seal for supposedly both. They would give both and not just one lol.

Why would you go in the draw if you are getting a farm tag. The farm tags are do you do not need to draw. And leaving it till the last day we'll can't blame the Mnr for that one. . Good luck with your hunt. Dutch

For this WMU farm tag just drops the price in recent years.

The Seal my dad has says valid for antlerless in wmu77 in bow season only.
Controlled hunt here is to use shotgun/muzzle loader.

And as stated. I asked if he had got my tag and such. And as they told him yes he had everythibg for both of us i naturaly presumed they knew what they were talking about.
