The local crew bought some pre-B disconnectors. Three guys with Shadows had no problem dropping them in and enjoying the double-tap goodness. But my Shadowline seems like it needs filing / fitting. I'll take another look at it and compare again with the original disco, but has anyone ever put this part in a Shadowline, and what was your experience?

Select Shooting Supplies is where I got mine. BTW, OP mentioned Shadowline and I am assuming this is the CZ75 Shadowline (not the SPO1 version). This is a non-FLDC framed version that is geometrically similar to an 85 Combat. As mentioned on my prev post, I have to do some minor filing on the inside portion of the Pre-B disconnect. Without this fitting, the pistol will not reset in SA. DA is OK. Manually racking the slide will engage the hammer. But pulling the trigger will not do anything. Slowly trimming the inside portion of the disconnect hook until reset is achieved, you will notice a dramatic improvement in the reset. Do not cut in haste otherwise, you will end up with the same reset as your original.

The major difference between the Pre-B disconnect and the current version is the hook (inside portion of the disconnect). Pre-B is flat but the current version resembles a hook/curve.

Mine is a 75 SP01 Shadowline.

I had to take off the finish on the inside of the hook to get it to fire in SA.

But I'm still struggling with DA. When I fire DA the trigger stays back and doesn't return on its own - I have to push it forward. I've been trying to remove material from the bottom of the disco wings but am finding it extremely painstaking as I can only use about 2mm of travel on the corner of my file.

Check for burrs and clean it around the disconnect or the hammer assembly.

I finally figured out my issue. Turns out that running the entire gun through the ultrasonic cleaner for the first time is a learning experience - unfortunately a delayed learning experience. I finally compared with another Shadow and found that even with no hammer and sear assembly the trigger was still hesitant and jerky to return on its return spring. Some oil around the trigger transfer bar sides / frame interfaces and it went back to a proper return. Trigger works 99% now, and the short reset is short.

The 1% issue is sometimes when I carefully do a DA pull to test overtravel the hammer falls to partial cocked. I remember reading other threads about that issue, so I should be able to work through it.
