At any rate, I'm sorely tempted by these despite NEA's spotty reputation for past issues and the general weaknesses that x39 uppers in general have. I spent enough money this week on a new scope...

Because of all the people who've been hurt by NEA products? Get real man. Small Canadian company, you might not like their stuff, but if people were getting badly hurt by their stuff, they'd be sued six ways from Sunday and would not longer exist as a company.

How about the many threads of these rifles coming apart , broken bolts and barrel extentions . Some dude got some metal in his cheek .. Somethings not right with these x39 nea guns . Too many bad/ dangerous reports on these to deny.

The generation 2 guns have had no issues in the last several thousand rifles sold. Buy with confidence.
