Powder shortage - is it easing up?

The gap in pricing is quite ridiculous. I got a shop charging $39 a pound for tight group, then another guy in town is $27.

I was browsing the midsouth website in the states and I was tearing up at the powders available and the price of them. It is pretty depressing

Thats why when i saw it was $99 for a 4lbs jug i scooped it up.

Wholesale sale sports in Langley B.C has a very good selection of powders, bought 4lbs of titegroup for $100. I don't reload yet but pick up components for when i'm ready and for when i finally get my dream .357 revolver.

Not really, not much rifle powder on stock. It was better before they started blacking out the price list. Now the website doesn't even list the powder now.

I have seen a lot more powders available lately than I have in a long time. Not anywhere near it should be though.

No matter how well stocked the shelves in the stores are though, a tear still forms when I know there is no W571 to be found, ever. :(

I haven't seen or used W571 since I was loading heavy duck loads, and that's been a few years. never realized they discontinued it.

tell me about it. when I was in Cabelas @ Chicago, tons of powder jars just sit on the shelves like canned food, and NOBODY even looked at them while I was staring at them for about 10 minutes and didn't want to leave.

It's great for heavy loads, 209's, W571, Rem SP16's and 1-1/4 oz #6 in my 16 was my duck load. Lead, then bismuth. Now my 16 sits quietly awaiting some work, and a heavy malleable shot to load up :(
