HK MR223A3 and MR308A3: The Most Major and Important Update

Let me say again and spell this out for you all in one sentence, HK will be (definitely) building a 18.5" HK243 that takes AR mags for the Canadian market. It will be available as soon as it is approved.
I would rather have one that takes G36/SL8 mags, hopefully that will be an option the distributor will import

OH God Greentips...I hope you are not teasing us Canucks!!

Also you said-- "Also, they are looking into a 18.5" version of 9mm USC. Unfortunately, they can't do 18.5" USC in 45 ACP because of technical issue related to the blow back system and the pressure of 45 ACP."

I thought there are already some 18.5 45ACP USC's in Canada....do they not shoot or cycle well? are the factory or aftermarket barrels?

The stock USC 45 is 16inch barreled. Non res usc 9. Will it potentially take usp or P30 mags?

And HK243 with ar mags equals awesome. And MR223A3 to me is overpriced but a good gun, the MR308A3 on the other hand is extremely price competitive and excellent.

HK is showing the magwell kit on their website, so I have no doubt that would be available for you.

I don't think USC will come accepting P30 mag anytime soon, but it is a good idea for this kind of firearms in general.

^^^^^
I will be hoping for that aswell considering I already have a bunch of 9mm UMP mags

The USC is a bit of a product of the old German gun from the SL-8 era. Not sure HK is seeing the sale potential to do what it has done with the 243.

Part of the big problem is the German gun law has some weird things about overall length, calibre and pistol grip/folding stock, from what it was explained to me by HK commercial sale. That is why USC is still stuck with the thumbhole stock, and IMHO that makes it not worth the effort to revamp the USC line like what they have done with evolving the SL8 to HK 243.
