2 stolen Tree stands

I had some moron take a chainsaw and fell two huge poplars to get at my stands when spring bear hunting.........Harold
 
I had two tree stands stolen as well. I started taking the stand down & hiding it in the bush near the tree. What a pain to put up a tree stand when you arrive at your spot EACH TIME! But... It was that or lose them to thieves!

I just don't understand these low lives that steal stuff. All we can hope is that KARMA catches up with them!

Just waiting to catch someone in it , when I have my chain saw on me which is fairly often.

However I have been fortunate and not lost any stands yet.

Sucks to have these low life type around.
 
The people stealing our stuff are the ones that want it for themselves. Trail cams are your friend, just be discreet and use your head when placing them. Most likely you will have something to give the LEO to find the jerk.
 
People who steal like this, often do not care as much as you if their own property gets nicked. Because they'll just steal another.
So wishing the same on them, unfortunately is not equal punishment.
 
believe this or not. someone stole my steps from the tree to my treestand years ago. i will never forget that .
 
Another solution is to bring a 12 foot ladder and install the stand without a means to reach it. If it's foldable you can fold it against the tree with chain and lock. All chains can be broken but at 12+ feet it gets harder.

There's a lot of new signs put up this year thanks to unresponsible people. I've run into cut fences, shot up equipment, gates left open, tire ruts in crop fields, remote camps being broken in to, even cattle shot and left. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to what idiots can do to spoil thing for everyone else.
