Gotta show off

my thoughts exactly. I'll upgrade at a later date to some a little bigger. Hope next summer I can get into a couple competitions after I feel real confident.

Work on trigger control and sight picture A LOT! If you are used to rifles, you will find handguns not as easy. A .22 will give you lots of cheap trigger time. Make every shot count when you practice. If you get bored or tired, quit and go home for the day.
When you get your next gun ( most likely a CZ SP-01 or Glock) you won't believe how proper training on your GSG over winter would have helped!

Ty for the tips. I've got my eye on that CZ

Good choice, enjoy it. I have a Norinco 1911 sport with the GSW .22 conversion kit. It is essentially the same as the gun you have. It's a great shooter and a lot cheaper to shoot than .45 ACP.
