Does anyone own this model ?

If Yes, where can I get it, and how much would one expect to pay ?

Thanks for your comments.

No not available in Canada unless you find one used, but you could import from CZ customs using the brokerage services offered by IRGs or Profit River. Cost would be what you see from CZC (with conversion of course), the brokerage fee ($200 or so), taxes and shipping.

Thanks , never tried the import services. Will look into it for sure.
On the US website it has a 18 shot magazine. Do these imported get the magazines pinned to 10 or just cannot import if no 10 shot magazine is aviilable off the shelf.

Are there any other options for a CZ 75 SP01 with adjustable rear sights in Canada ?

Buy a regular Shadow and replace the rear sight?

If all you want is the adjustable rear, you should be able to buy that directly from CZC and install if on the CZ75 of your choice. Depending on which one you want, it may require machining. The sight in the picture you attached would require machining. A place like Dlask could help you out. An adjustable rear as above for the CZ Tac Sport is a straight swap (no slide mods needed).

Not sure what flavour of the shooting games you are looking at, but machining the slide will bump you out of production for IPSC(some CZ models are not on the approved list either).
There are some pretty nice adjustable sights that don't require any machining.

Right now I am just trying to shoot for accuracy, but good point about not doing do much modification to a point where you cannot use it in IPSC etc.

I checked the CZ Custom website and for the CS 75 SP01 Shadow Target it says "Not for sale to CA Not on DOJ Approved List" , I guess the importers will not be able to get it either.

So at Paatz mentioned I could look at the C 85 Combat which has adjustable site (which I want), or get a CZ SP01 Shadow and then try to buy adjustable sites.

I read that to get the rear adjustable site for the CZ 75 SP01 Shadow you have to change the front sight to a taller 7.5 mm sight, so I would probably the sights for USA and have to take it in to Gunsmith for install. I am in Calgary.

So if the the CZ 85 Combat is close to a CZ 75 SP01 in reliability, accuracy etc. it may be the best option.

Thanks to all for your input.

That's for "CA" as in California, where there's a list of approved handguns by the Department of Justice, nothing to do with CA as in Canada ;)

Having a Shadow (Canadian ed) myself, I wonder why you are dead set on adj sights? Mine is bang on, as is my Guncrafter 1911 with Heinie fixed sights.

On the other hand, my Spartan (with adjustable sights) needs to re-adjust from time to time...

CZ 85 and SP-01 Shadow are quite different beasts (yes the base is the same).

For the money and hassle of importing a Shadow Target, I'd just get one of the Canadian edition (you have ~3 variations) and call it a day, just my 0.02...

Can you please elaborate a bit more on how the CZ 85 and CZ 75 SP01 Shadow are a different beast ?

The reason I was looking at adjustable sights is that I do not have any other handgun that has adjustable sights, My Glock and Browning 1911 22LR are quite good but not bang on.
I though with adjustable sights and the accuracy of the CZ, I got hit the bulls eye every time and impress the kids.

The Canadian Edition is avaible at every store , So easy to pickup before Christmas :)

The long dustcover helps quite a bit with recoil; some people like, others don't (I love it).

The difference becomes much more significant if you are willing to spend the $ to import the Shadow Target; if you go for the (similarly priced) Canadian Edition, then it's in a very different league from your basic 85 (fit and finish, comp hammer, springs, tuned trigger, sights, grips, etc, etc).

As someone who has owned mid-high end production 1911 (STI Sentry) and owns a semi custom 1911 (Guncrafter) I have been very, very impressed by the Shadow Cdn Edition...

They are nice guns but the "Standard" edition is quite accurate I find so no need to go beyond that for me.. I added the aluminum grips but have not come to a conclusion if it is any more effective for me than the standard grips. (But it looks cooler) :)

I certainly like the look of that. I might have to get my Shadow upgraded, if I don't sell it in favour of my 85Combat
