I just seen a used but unfired FS2000 for sale.

I am running beowulf mags in mine.... if you do, get the ones pinned at the front of the mag.... 15 rounds instead of 13-14

That's a nice score G - I actually thought it'd be one of those brutal 'CQB' models with the 1.5lb forend ONLY.

I've tried a lot of optics (including your RMR suggestion!) and ended up with TA33-G on top. Keeps it nice and light, and 3x is more than enough for under 200 yards. Second choice was NF 2.5-10x24, but it gets a little heavy that way. And don't need 10x! :)

Congrats on rejoining the fold. Again. :)

I double-checked on the fore-end before I sealed the deal--even sent pictures of the two types--and they confirmed it was the polymer version. I tried the railed fore-end on one of my three earlier FS2000s and it's way too heavy. Looks good, but feels awkward to me. For starters I'll probably use the Meprolight M5 that's currently on my "soon-to-be in-the-EE" CTAR. I've got a TA01 ACOG on my M&P15 (the other one going in the EE) and while I like it the eye relief is very short. I had a TA33 on my first FS2000 back in 2010 and it was a great optic—light, great eye relief and the sweet spot for magnification.

Here are a couple of pictures that the store sent to me. To their credit they called me this morning and mentioned that when they had a closer look the rifle seemed more FDE than OD and wanted to make sure I was OK. <spoiler alert> I am!

Nice Score!

I will be joining you shortly with a Scoped version from gunbroker! (Via Irunguns, but they don'y yet know it).

Cheers!

I just seen a used but unfired FS2000 in I think it was tan at my local shop the other day. I know this is a rarity in Canada for this rifle.

I though I would post this info up as not to many people go to the shop looking for black guns even though they do have a couple for sale. I would like to see it sold to someone before the gun grabbers come knocking soon.

Anyways call up Gobles in London if you want one. And no I didn't catch the price but knowing Gobles it will be a little high.

Hey thanks for the heads up I have been wanting one. Do you think it's still there?

Well, here it is! It showed up on Friday and I had a chance to take it to the range yesterday. I had planned to use the Meprolight M5 sight that I had on my CTAR but the higher rail on the FS2000 raised the sight too high. I had just bought a Holosun 403c for my Vector so I tried that and it fit just right. Despite the cold and damp I really enjoyed being out with an FS2k again.

Do you own a P/S90 and 57 handgun too? Would make a nice group shot.
Is the 2K a 2-3 MOA rifle?

I don't own any of the 5.7mm FNs...although a 10" PS90 is on the "maybe someday" list.

In my experience, the FS2000 is a 2MOA rifle...maybe a little less with good ammo.

So a bit better than a Tavor. Sounds about right! I assume a better trigger too?
Good luck with the " maybe someday" list! I got to play ( didn't shoot it) with a FA P90 at SHOT. Really awesome piece!

You just seen?

The trigger on my FS2000 had the neu-trigger upgraded sear, made it feel about as good (pull weight) as a factory tavor trigger with way more mush. I am glad it came with that upgrade, because it was still atrocious!
