1911 MSH with mag well...where to buy?

Looking for a blued main spring housing with mag well. Checked quite a few dealers, but can't find one in stock.

Any leads would be appreciated,

I've bought one off Dlask as well. Pretty good quality and fits well. I'm in the market for another but this time I think I'm going to try and Ed Brown one from Brownells when it goes on sale.

I had an Ed Brown one, it was excellent quality. I really like the Smith and Alexander, it is a one piece and the checkering goes right to the bottom of the well. Both are available from Brownell's.

I grabbed a fusion mainspring with mag well at a gun show recently. Happy with the fit on a Ruger SR1911. Site sponsor Wanstalls carries the fusion parts line also. Check it out.

Humm, that Fusion mag well looks good. I like the mag well dovetail attaching feature should the little screw work loose. The DLask one I have is built the same.

They all are in the same price range 90-95 each

just depends the model you want, i get my from Murray Gardner in the Vancouvver area. He stocks blued ones with flat checkered MSH

Humm, I was doing some searching on the Fusion MSH/mag well. Anyone have this issue in the pic below:

they are meant with an oversized opening, so you can bevel the grip to match the opening. but the mainspring side is a bit larger than normal.

I use these, just haven't had a chance to file it to match yet. remember by using a mag shute, you need mag bumpers, and they have to leave enough room on the sides for the magazine to engage properly.

x2. The S&A is more like a seamless extension of the grip rather than an add on, e.g. on this Dan Wesson. Definitely my favourite.
