Who makes gloss scopes?

Pretty sure elites are still available in gloss.

Only one I can find is their 3-9x40...looks like even Bushnell is phasing out the gloss. Too bad, all these vintage firearms will be wearing matte scopes...uggh! I also prefer the gloss because the finish seems much more durable than matte...from most makers anyways.

I just looked through the Weaver website. Most of their scopes are only available in matte black, a few are offered with silver finish and one rimfire scope is matte black with pink accents. The only gloss black finish I found was on the 1,5-4x20 and 4x28 handgun scopes.

I have two old classic rifles that really wanted gloss finished scopes. I found the answer in both cases was a used Bausch & Lomb.

People who don't know any better.

I'm sure the OP finds that comment quite useful. As noted previously most manufactures are phasing out gloss finish scopes as most consumers prefer matte black. Even silver is becoming less available as it is increasingly hard to find a silver color that matches most stainless steel guns. We still carry a few gloss scopes for customers who prefer that classic look on their high gloss blued rifles (like an older Browning A Bolt). I think most of the brands available have been mentioned. Phil.

I don't guarantee every comment to be useful, or even funny.:p

On the other hand it apparently moved you to offer your comment so something useful may have come out of it.;)

I will make a suggestion to the OP though, open Google, put "gloss* scope new" in the search bar and see what images appear. Click on what you like the look of and see it where it takes you.

If you want exclude a certain make or makes to narrow down the search, for example Weaver, after the "gloss* scope new" put -weaver, -_______, -________

Each _______ being a term you want to exclude from your results.

Pictures usually are worth a lot of words and looking is faster than reading.

I have a suggestion for u too but I will keep it to myself. You could learn from this but I doubt it.

Thanks anyway but I was posting my response without your prompting as I feel when an OP has a legitimate question, responders should try to keep on topic otherwise these threads evolve into nothing more than random comments. To the OP...sorry my comment evoked a sideways response and hope you got the answers you were looking for. Phil.
